    Boot configurations?

    When a new hard drive is added to a system how and what is normally configured to allow the new hd to be the primary boot disk? Im adding another hd and while i will most likey leave the
    existing drive the boot drive i might want to switch. Do i have to tinker with the BIOS? Thanks.

    You do need to go into the bios, somewhere you'll find something along the lines of 'boot order', which you can set to be any hard/floppy/CD drive you want (as long as you bios supports boot from CD).

    That's all you need to do, but I would recommend for speed that when you add the new drive you make it the primary master, ie: you connect it to the IDE1/Primary IDE channel, and set it's jumpers to "master". (you may have to set your old drive to "slave" to make it work on the same cable).
