A bios program is usally motherboard-specific. Sometimes one version of a bios will work on a whole family of related motherboards.

To answer your question, generally nothing much is gained by flashing a new bios program onto the chip. If you have special
hardware, or are messing with clock speed big time, you may have to change the bios to match.

but if the 4400 video card doesn't have the hardware on it like the 4600 then you can't. what would be the purpose of the manufacturer if all they did to a card is update the bios and give it another name. none that I can see.

Flashing the BIOS on a video card, what you can do is you can have it default to certain speeds. So you don't have to use overclocking software to "overclock" your card.

If a Ti4400 is capable of overclocking to Ti4600 speeds, you can flash the BIOS to a Ti4600.

Your an idiot for buying a Ti4400, silly NVIDIOT

Don't you realize the ATI Radeon 8800 is expected to be $299, and inside sources say it will kick the 4600's ass 9 ways from Sunday?

If I were you I would cancel that order now....

For some people GeForce is an 'Ooooh word'. If you've got a geforce then your great, and the bigger the number after it, the better.

    (Heh heh heh)

The name GeForce does have "Ooh" to it, but these have a little more "Ooh" to them, don't you think?
