Red eye compansation...

i am doing project of the image editing. I developed much more but now i want the Red eye compensation means if any photo have red eye effect then that should be converted in to the default color or any perticular color.
i want this feature urgently and immediately so if u have any idea then pl. let me know.
i am waiting for that.

Well it is not the easist thing to do.

Have you tried decreasing the red values of pixels over a certain red value?

You may need to have a way to select just the eyes, otherwise write code that can 'reconigise' eyes.
