    Modem on startup

    Why is it that on my Win 2K PC, I need to switch my modem before I switch the PC on? If I don't, Windows can't find it and I have to reboot before I can use it.

    Any ideas?

    um, check your ur BIOS settings & windoze hardware profiles - it may be automatically disabled if the modem is off at boot up

    make sure plug and play OS in your bios is off, if it already is, try turning it on
