    Windows Shut Down

    Hey programmers....

I've seen this floating around on the net before, but the one time I am looking for it, I cannot find it! I am looking for a piece of code that shuts down, or restarts (depending on a passed parameter) Windows. I have seen the code that displays the Windows Shutdown Dialog and waits for a user to choose - I do NOT want this! I want my program to have control over what happens in regards to a shutdown/restart.

I'm stilll gonna google search, but if anyone can post the code here, it would help me out a lot!

    Thanks in advance!

Or the EWX_ constans to get what you want to happen

    Code:
    'In general section
    Const EWX_LOGOFF = 0
    Const EWX_SHUTDOWN = 1
    Const EWX_REBOOT = 2
    Const EWX_FORCE = 4
Private Declare Function ExitWindowsEx Lib "user32" (ByVal uFlags As Long, ByVal dwReserved As Long) As Long
    Private Sub Form_Load()
        'KPD-Team 1998
        'URL: http://www.allapi.net/
        'E-Mail: [email protected]
msg = MsgBox("This program is going to reboot your computer. Press OK to continue or Cancel to stop.", vbCritical + vbOKCancel + 256, App.Title)
If msg = vbCancel Then End
        'reboot the computer
        ret& = ExitWindowsEx(EWX_FORCE Or EWX_REBOOT, 0)
    End Sub
