After an hour of eBay'ing, I've failed
m'kay, I'm looking for a cheap crappy laptop to get me on the school's wireless LAN. So all it needs is a 200 MHz Pentium (or K5/6/whatever), 32 MB RAM, and 1.5 GB HDD. The kicker? Including shipping, $75 or less. Of course it needs everything like a CD-ROM, battery, perfect screen (size doesn't matter as long as it doesn't look retardedly small), and AC adapter.
*waits for the laughter to die down*
Anything good on eBay/somewhere else REPUTABLE?

Eh, no, Mindsurf put a network in there with a bunch of iPaqs as an experiment or something, so a bunch of people with laptops got wireless cards and go online with it. There's no file server or anything, I just want to surf during English

Why would anybody want to modify their grades? You get what you earn.

I found quite a few on eBay, but they all had one tiny quirk that spoiled each one (no battery, no CD, too expensive shipping)...

You'll be lucky if you find anything perfect for that sort of a price, yeah there getting cheaper, and second hand models are cheaper naturally, but there comes a point in time where ppl start to give up on sellin simply because there worth more to them than they could get back
I think for what your after, you should at least double your price range (at least)

You should stay in high school, you don't want to end up with a sh** job. You don't want to end up kicking yourself because you work in a job you didn't want.

My timetable is super schizofrenic
Monday:
Per 1 Spare
Per 2 1.5 english classes
per 3 half a lunch
per 4 HL computers
per 5 Physics
Tuesday:
Per 1 Spare
Per 2 1.5 calculus classes
per 3 half a lunch
per 4 grade 12 english
per 5 Physics
Wednesday:
Per 1 Spare
Per 2 1 english classe
per 3 lunch
per 4 HL computers
per 5 Physics
Thursday:
Per 1 Spare
Per 2 1.5 calculus classes
per 3 half a lunch
per 4 grade 12 english
per 5 Physics
Friday:
Per 1 Spare
Per 2 2 calculus classes
Per 3 No lunch (im in calculus all of lunch)
Per 4 HL computers

And ppl say Furby has no ambition....
Could try
1. Do you have a local Trading Post newspaper....good for a laugh occasionally like this one guy trying to sell a 486 for $600.
2. Try your local hardware store..sometimes they have trade ins floating around out back..
3. Try an Apple store, they do trade ins....it's Apple though...
4. Put an add in your local paper...poor student seeks obsolete hardware type of thing
Hope it gives you ideas.....

Jethro,
That is a waste why would they still be selling 486's? I can understand ppl fixing them ready for some charity though.

Yeah, there's one in Gaithersburg every few weeks which is 45 mins away, but
1. I don't want my dad to know that I'm trying to acquire a laptop
2. I'm doing relatively crappy in school, 4 Cs and 1 A (the A was in Java )

I don't know how anyone can get a bad mark in computer class, I am in the IB computers class and it is supposedly impossible, i have a 97 in it right now so i have 1 A+ (HL computers) 2B's (my English classes, grade 11 & 12) and 1 C (calculus, which probably isn't a C any more since i just had a test i think i got about 78% on) and i really have no clue where my physics mark is
