If you work in a big corporation you'll probably end up having to use it at some point

"You have been warned twice! Speak leet or you will be banned!"

"We will have no humour in here that requires thinking!"

I guess I'll never earn any respect around here?

I'm trying to stop the 1337speak, and my other immature habits, now that I feel I have some use on these boards.

Oh for sure you will. I for one dont dislike anyone on here 'personally' and only get extremely peeved at that leet crap etc. You have helped me before on hardware issues and I am thankful for that. I am sure that your desire to help others on here with hardware issues will indeed earn you respect and maybe even us beer sodden dolts will forget that the leet experience ever happened.

I cant quite remember how i was at 15.. probably super cool and mature ... but I guess we also need to give some leeway in allowance for normal societal development... so basically, use any more leet and u are dead

Justin, I already respect the fact that you know far more about PCs and general hardware than I do. That doesn't mean you'd make a good moderator, though.

More than your leet, I've always objected to your rampant jingoism and implied racism. Your tendency to swear at anyone who disagrees with you is also not the typical behaviour of a moderator.

In the same way that people who are technically skilled don't always make good managers, they also don't always make good moderators. You might prove me wrong and grow up into a reasonable human being, but I'm not expecting it to happen any time soon.

yeah but if he was a moderator ID, we could do fun things like [Edited by justin] [Censored by justin], I hate Justin threads etc ... hours of entertainment!!

No, Justin.. neither you nor Filburt could ever be considered as a mod on here. You just arent capable of undertaking that role in this time of your life.

Even though there's like a 99.9% chance that just like everyone else around here I'll never be a mod it doesn't mean I can't change my ways a bit...
