hey theres a really neat function in REGEDIT called 'SEARCH'! try it sometimes!

for example, if the program is called Internet Explorer try searching for 'Internet Explorer'!

    its really magical!

I know how you can turn autocomplete off...you need to edit the registry...is that ok?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Protected Storage System Provider\S-1-5-21-1960408961-839522115-854245398-1003 is the key

when i tried to delete it, it failed (the whole dir) because its read only

how can i delete every item in there? or, how can i delete it by using a webbrowser? (is this possible?)

    thanks

ps: is S-1-5-21-1960408961-839522115-854245398-1003 always the key? otherwise im really screwed

isnt it part of your typed urls and your bookmarks? so just remove the typed urls (and bookmarks if you want to screw with them).

maybe use regmon, then delete the autocomplete, and maybe you'll come up with more keys.

there were LOts of keys in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Protected Storage System Provider\S-1-5-21-1960408961-839522115-854245398-1003 that it deleted.. nothing else.

how can i delete all keys from that key, and is 'S-1-5-21-1960408961-839522115-854245398-1003' always the key for IE autocomplete?

    S-1-5-21-2000478354-1383384898-1343024091-1000

It appears to be unique for each machine; mine is:
    S-1-5-21-725345543-152049171-1957994488-500
What is the answer to this question?

i think the values are hidden.

regmon shows that there are many subdirectories in that directory

    arrghhh

is there a way to call up internet explorer's settings and remove the entries using api or something?
