    VB.6 upgrade time

    Hi all,

I would like to make an timeplan dor upgrading VB6 apps to VB.Net.

I would like to have an overview of apps that already have been upgraded.

    somthing like:

    Type app: DB app
    Size: 866 KB
    Time: 3 hrs

I will make an overview of the approximate time it takes to upgrade an app.

Obviously I will post that overview on this site.

    Thanks in advance

    Shawn,

I'm currently involved in the preparations for the upgrade from VB6 to VB.Net.

I know that it's hard to estemate the time required for an application upgrade:

M$ speaks of 5% manual what means:
    original VB6 100 hours -> upgrade 5 hours.

But I want to know how exact is that percentage?

Is it 5% for all apps, or is there a difference between them.

So if I got a list that gives me the type of app and size, together with the time required to upgrade, I will be able to make a better estamation.

What I mean by time is the time after you have user the upgrade wizard, so the real time to change your code to VB.Net, not all the preperation.

    Got It
