I need to create some reports in VB6. Pie Charts, bar charts, etc. Is Crystal Reports the best or does anyone have any other suggestions??
Thanks

Spring 2000 VBJ Buyers Guide...
Well, it says (more or less) that Seagate Crystal Reports 7 is excellent, but has some annoying drawbacks:
no support for ADO
non-standard interfaces
limited support for creating dynamic reports
Also, I have noted the price to be very high. They clearly aim this at the enterprise market.
Other hits in the publication were:
ActiveReport 1.1 by data dynamics. At a more modest price (but still aroung $US400), they really had nothing bad to say about it except that the documentation was poor. Also, you can't add event-driven code to a report created at run-time. This probably isn't a limitation for most situations though.
On the plus side, they fully support ADO, DOA, RDO. So chhose your poison and go for it
If I have to add reporting to an app, I would probably go for the ActiveReports, simply because of the cost. I would definitely try before I buy though!
Cheers
