for the amount of traffic I will generate I wouldn't want
to be out anything ($$$$)...I had a nice 50 mg with my provider...Problem is they went belly up and now I think
I'll go with maBell or Rogers but neither offer asp or FP
options. Being as I built the site with those options I would like to change as little as possible...I do have a
larger site as I am an Artist which makes my content and
display graphical...plus the Visual Basic stuff...

P.S. I just checked out the site. For those who want to know, It does NOT support CGI, FP Extensions, JSP, Perl, PHP, or Cold Fusion. And they don't plan on it either.

I will use it as well...I'll have to renovate my old
site material but hey, one can always use the practice.

Price is right...going with high speed connection and the only flaw in high speed connection is the low mg's they allow for personal web sites and the non asp factor.

    From the eWebcity FAQ:

    1. Does eWebCity support Visual Interdev Extensions or Front Page Extensions?

These extensions are not installed at eWebCity. We do not have any plans to support them.

    2. I am trying to use CDO or CDONTS and it is not working, why?

CDO and/or CDONTS is not installed or available. It is mostly used for sending email. Sending email via ASP is a feature of the Premium Membership. Premium Members can go to "Membership" from the top menu and then "Premium Members Only" to find out how to send email from ASP.

    3. What version of (IIS, ADO, ASP) you are running?

We are running Windows 2000 servers with the latest version of all of the Micrsoft technologies. IIS 5, ADO 2.5, and ASP 3.0.

    4. Can you install my custom DLL (or component of any kind)?

No. This is because in order for eWebCity to install custom components, we would have to first evaluate them (source code, system effects, etc). Based upon the free and low cost services that we offer, installing custom components does not fit within this realm.

    5. Do you support CGI/JSP/Perl/PHP/Cold Fusion?

No. We are considering adding these technologies. We do not have any plans to add them right now. We do not have a date when we might add them.

    6. Do you support Flash/Shockwave? Do you have the Flash/Shockwave MIME type set up?

Yes, we support Flash/Shockwave. We have the following MIME type setup on the eWebCity servers:
    .SWF APPLICATION/X-SHOCKWAVE-FLASH

Just some info to know before joining. I started using this site about two weeks ago. So far, so good.
