I've asked a very similar question a few days ago, and got NO replies. I'd suggest that you read some documentation about the MAPI controls. These controls can be found in the 'Components' dialog box, under 'Microsoft MAPI Controls'.

If MAPI isn't what your looking for, you can do a search on www.planet-source-code.com for the code to some Mail API's. I wrote my own mail API using source code from that site.

As for sending a fax, I'm pretty sure it can be done with Visual Basic and some sort of API. However, I dont know of any API that could do that (one has to exist though). You could do a seach for it on www.google.com or www.planet-source-code.com , or any other search engine or source-code site.

Sorry that I couldn't offer much help!
