Thread: Cold Fusion Vs ASP

    I am new to this , I guess one can tell, but which is the way to go: ASP or Cold Fusion? I have a colleage who swears by Cold Fusion. Any good books to get me started?

    Well... If you have good knowledge of Visual Basic or Java, then you should choose ASP because it's quite the same.. it is pretty fast on IIS 5.0...

    PHP and ColdFusion are fine too but if I were you, I'd choose ASP because it's used on many search engines, e-business sites and other web based application..

    You also have to consider what platforms you are going to be devoloping for. If you plan on running your pages under anything other then IIS on Windows then ASP will cause you headaches. But theres nothing to stop you from learning more then one
