yep. I gave up after 3 powercuts and a drunk sysadmin who decided to withdraw everyone's permissions, including the web server's, and his.

I never like xoom. I think geocities is excellent, with a nice small ad, which you can minimize or close (and its not another window )

I agree with Steve. I've used Geocities for 3 years now. They are probably the best out there, even after Yahoo's takeover.

they are better with yahoo's takeover,
geocities used to have long URLS, http://www.geocities.com/Camping/Yos...3284/index.htm
now its
http://www.geocities.com/you
and geocities used to have a huge popup, after yahoo's takeover its just a little thing that can be closed.
AND geocities now offers 15mb space, it used to only be 3mb
