TCPIP & Sockets + Client & Server = MADNESS!!
Ok, in VB6 i used to make winsock do almost anything, and it was pretty simple to manipulate everything about it. BUT in .NET. i cant find any tutorials or help on using Sockets in .NET. All the tutorials i have found are for Beta 1 or Beta 2, most of them seem to be missing important features for the whole socket stuff to groove into place. Anyone know of a good place to learn about sockets under the final release? I dont have much hair left so hurry....

is there really a BIG difference between final release and Beta 2?
also one more question: I know some of the syntax and stuff can change from Beta to final release, but do the controls change too? (like the properties and methods of winsock)

Have you tried the WinTalk demo in the FrameworkSDK?
[From MSDN]
Wintalk Application Sample
This sample offers a brief introduction to Windows Forms and sockets, and includes other .NET Framework class library topics. The sample is a very simple Sockets Chat application.

There was a MS tutorial written in Beta2, and it wont work on final, so a few things changed, after enuff fumbling around i got the MS tutorial project to work. I think i like the VB6 usage of winsock better. But i guess someday there will be a good reason as why to use the sockets.
I will have to check out that WinTalk demo... Thanks
