[Off Topic] PC Out of Memory

    Sorry for off post topic.

I thought I ask as someone may know:

My poor ol 200MMX is on ots last legs.

I'm up for the good ol format.....

I am having trouble opening more that a few things now,
getting those messages about 'There is not enough free
memory...... Quit one or more pograms'

ie. I can no longer have 3 browsers open at once.

I am curious now to find what the problem is (The system has degraded over the last month)

My question is (besides Nortons System Doc etc) is there
some way I can acuratly check: Virtual Mem etc.
in addition, what is the currently Memory eating monster that
is sucking the last breath from this modernised Abucus.

    Cheers,

If its NT then you could use Task Manager.
If not, well I'd just format it and start afresh.
Make sure its got at least 64megs of RAM though..

Well you can't have one SIMM
It's be a single DIMM if anything.

... hmmm a single 96 meg DIMM is rather odd to be honest.
    tis possibly a 128MB DIMM with a m/b capable of only 96 ?

Anyway yeah I'd just format and reinstall.
I have windows 2000 server running on a P-200 with 64Mb of RAM behind me here and it runs ok.

    Sorry, I have a 32 and 64 MSDRAM (2 DIMM's)

I would have been nice to try to find the problem.
However, I dont think W98 is that flexible.
