hi!
can someone please tell me if i can obtain a downloadable copy of MSDN help files free on the internet..i really need it .. Microsoft does offer it online...but the idea of accessing the internet everytime i need help isn't very bright... ???????
anyone??

You can't burn the CDs from someone because that would be illegal...
There's a program called WebWhacker which starts on one page and walks link by link down x levels making each page available offline as it goes.
That particular program was a pain in the a@# because it crashed my machine all the time. It should be an easy exercise to make one yourself in Vb with an Inet control. Just look for links, follow them, and change the links to relative (like "images\mypict.jpg" instead of "www.microsoft.com\images\mypict.jpg") as you find them.
I'm sure you'll find lots of other uses for your new program, especially on websites that have large directories of picture files
