what is "Ruby"? i've never heard of it... maybe someon could post a link if they know of one or something...
and if anyone has anything else that couls aid in my decision then it would be VERY welcome indeed

Ruby is an Object-Oriented scripting language. It is definately less common than Perl or Python, doesn't run natively on Win32 yet (Cygwin will work), but I think its popularity will grow over time.
