    Arrow a virus?

I got a weird E-mail long time ago and I havent deleted it because I know it's a virus because there is a file attached to it called JoelGarcia_resume.doc.lnk

now.. I want to download it just to see what is.. (no I'm not gonna run it) I just want to edit it somway so I see what it is exactly...

by the way..in the E-mail itself it says:

    Hi! How are you?

This is the file with the information that you ask for

    See you later. Thanks

gee that sircam made me RICH. It was very popular in the city i live so i got $15 per hour to take it off (though it really didn't take more than 15 minutes per machine) I also found that if people have one virus they usually have like 10 so that took up the largest amount of time but since the sircam was so high profile if they got that e-mail they phoned me, i came over, found it, killed it, found a few more viruses, killed all of them, then got paid.

Have you ever given a thought about McAfee,Norton being the foundries of most of the virus ?? I believe they employ people to release virus in the wild, just to make themselves rich.

Has there ever been a virus that attacks the antivirus programs, altering their dat files so that it registers most of the programs that are on the infected machine as virii? Say, you have MSWord, this virus detects it and alters Norton such that it then believes Word is dangerous and should be deleted?

    Just wondering

Or the ultimate scheme of releasing virus with their updates or programs/virus definitions.

By the way, the plural of virus is virus.
All contents of the above post that aren't somebody elses are mine, not the property of some media corporation.
    (Just a heads-up)

We're both wrong, but the correct plural just doesn't look correct:

maybe you should you lazy bum!
The plural of virus is neither viri nor virii, nor even vira nor virora. It is quite simply viruses, irrespective of context.

But it's a Latin word though...

    Anyway, radius goes to radii.

Nope, it's a ***** for foreign students to learn. Although at least it doesn't try and give furniture a gender

Like I said in my last post, the correct plural as indicated in the link I provided, just doesn't look right.

And it STILL doesn't look right in the link supplied by ThinkTank2!

that is what i hated most about french. according to them countries have a gender, then you have to add e to the end if they are feminine, s to the end if they are plural. the all those irregulars enough to make your head explode

    who wrote this...? Its barmy
And although there actually is a viri form for virus, it's the genitive singular[1], not the nominative plural. And we certainly don't grab for genitive singulars for the plurals when we've started out with a nominative. Such hanky panky would certainly get you talked about, and probably your hand slapped as well.
*Virii is still completely silly, so don't do that; otherwise, everyone will know you're just a blathering script kiddie.
Vocative examples of virus are not particularly common. Apparently the Romans seldom addressed their slime in a personal fashion.

    Nominative - subject
    Vocative - talking to them
    Accusative - talking about them
    Genitive - Of them
    Dative - To them
Ablative - By, with, or from them
