    messages for controls

    Is there some way to ask a control what messages it can accept?

    Is there some way querying a control and ask it "What messages can you respond to?"

    MSDN have some for certain intrinsic controls but not for others less commonly used. Where do we find out?

    The documentation is all there is. All accepted and control-specific messages are listed there.
