    SMS Text messaging from app

Well, I was wondering what (if any) information is available for building SMS (cell\pager text messaging) into an existing Win32 app. I've searched high and low and the only thing I have come up with so far is a few activex controls (in the 400 dollar range). I'd prefer not to go the activex route and would like to develop the support myself. Anybody have any good links\tidbits on where to start?

    Thanks,
    PG

How do you want to use your SMS app?

Do you want to send SMS via a mobile phone connected to your com port or something else?

If it is to send send SMS via your com port, then what phone are you using? Does it support AT commands or custom comands?

Email me and I might be able to get you going with it.

Don't you need some kind of agreement with phone companies to send SMS over the web?

Well, this is a rather old post of mine, but yeah, at the time, I wanted to transmit text messages to wireless phones. But what I found out was, most cell service can accept "wireless email". This is acceptable for the application.

    Appreciate the help though
