I'd like to write a program to alter a person's voice. To assist in social engineering on the phone. hehe

Anyway, I'm wondering if I may be wasting my time. Has anyone ever seen this written as freeware before? Even if so, I could look at it and see if it might give me some ideas.

Does anyone think VB is an appropriate language, or perhaps C++ would be better?

Since I haven't done much with sound in the past this will probably be a great learning experience for me.

Any comments, suggestions??
