    Company Website

    I have just done a new version of the company site and I would like people to test it for me if they could... Preferably at different resolutions if anyone could... Its only a test so far (parts are still under construction - especially the feedback form)...

    Also I need to be able to change the titles on the topbar when you go to differnet pages.. One thing that I have noticed and for reasons best known to someone else... Is that on Mac version of M$ IE on 1024x768 resolution is killing most of the background images and I have no idea why.

    If people could check it for me then I would greatly appreciate it

    Thank you in advance for all you help

    looks pretty good there Chris, but I see you are using frames. cause on some pages the middle frame gets cut off. I would make it so the middle frame expands depending on the users resolution. I used 1024x768 on IE6 win2k.

    doing the way you have it leaves a lot of white space up top and down below. that white space can be used to make the frame in the middle be expanded.

    just some opinions I have, nothing to personal

    here's a little app you might find useful... it basically allows you to look at your page at different settings without actually changing your settings.

    OH, and your site looks good from the front page at least... I don't have time at the moment to browse through it.

    OK, it won't let me attach it... email me and I'll send it to you... it's around 300k..

    Chris:

    I used this
    Code:
    <frameset rows="27%,*,12%" frameborder="NO" border="0" framespacing="0" cols="*">
      <frame name="topframe" scrolling="NO" noresize src="top.html" >

        <frame name="mainframe" scrolling="NO" noresize src="main.html">
        <frame name="bottomframe" scrolling="NO" noresize src="bottom.html">

    </frameset>
    and made that bottom graphic 661x40 and centered it. it looks better tha tway. try that and see what you think. you might want to play around with the percentages to get it just right.

    Cheers Scoutt... I will try that n see what we get... hopefully that will keep the percentages... and keep things vaguely similar on all resolutions.. I was just asked why it looked bad in 800x600 resolution... I had to explain how graphics loose clarity n definition when its at a lower resolution.. and this from a Print design company LOL

    Thanks for your help Scoutt.. I will have this bugger cracked by next Friday

    Cheers

    The design looks good, the background images could do with
    being a higher res though, !

    As for the frames I'd use a fixed height for the top and bottom
    frames and just let the middle frame expand, you'll need to make
    your background image tall enough to fill the space on all
    resolutions though!

    I've had a look at your portfolio on little blue dog as well some nice looking sites there m8 !

    To be honest. I haven't had the time to do any work to it at all... When I'm at work I have proper work to do and when I get home from work I am generally too tired to do any... I will hopefully be able to do some this weekend.. I had to say that it wouldn't be done by Friday .. so thats that.. My boss can't expect me to work another 4 hours a night on the website to get it done when I work 10 hours a day in the office...

    Oh well.. I will hopefully have a finished site by the end of the weekend.. depends on what else I have to do this weekend.

    Cheers

    Chris
