    # 'o posts

Why is it that some people have 1000+ posts, yet they start their new threads off by saying, "Hi, I am new to VB....". Is this whole post #ing thing bs or are these people just making hundreds and hundreds of useless posts (maybe like this one??)?

Thanks.. and again, you guys are doing a great job here. This forum is the best one I have ever seen!

1000+ used to be a lot, it's not anymore because so many people have more than 1000, 2000, 3000 even 4000.

BTW, that one didn't count. Forum Feedback and Chit Chat do not increment your counter.

Yeah, right. Look at me, for instance. More than 1700 posts, and can't write an SMTP client!

Post count doesn't mean a thing, except that after 4096, I shall be getting the Lunatic Member status, if John doesn't take that feature out.

And if that response was mine, please think about giving me a rep. I like to collect them!

Many people stop posting after they hit a certain number. 4096 is a popular one. After 2000 i couldn't be arsed any more, so anything on my counter after that is just me asking questions.
