    First, keep the coordinates where you're drawing in some variables (like PlayerX and PlayerY). Then, allow the player to change the variables by pressing keys (example: if the player presses the Right Arrow key, PlayerX = PlayerX + 1).

    Try the Lander Game tutorial, it's in the "Articles" section of vb-world (the link at the top of this page)
    Code:
    Temp = Me.GetIQ()
    'Error 9: Overflow
    'DON'T PANIC! :eek:

    To learn how to use realistic effects in your games like fire, rain, snow and magic effects, read my article on particles systems here.

    thats what i did...just use the getasynckeystate api to find out when the player uses the arrow keys and change coordinates on player.x and player.y (or whatever ur vars are) by adding or subtracting and running the main game loop...

    Try the tutorial I gave you (other people here can give you more links), it teaches you how to do all that including transparent images. 3D is a lot harder, you should start with 2D and only then move on to 3D (I sure hope you're good at maths if you wanna go for 3D ).

    Where did you get that soldier? I've seen it in countles times but I can't find it...
    Never argue with fools, they will only drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.

    Q: How do you tell an experienced hacker from a novice?
    A: The latter thinks there's 1000 bytes in a kilobyte, while the former is sure there's 1024 meters in a kilometer

    How about adding a second character or something?
