'scuse me? I didn't realise ME was out yet?
You could try PWS that comes with Win98/NT4WkSt...

I think Microsoft's aim with ME was to create an OS without all the fancy networking stuff...I wouldn't be surprised if it rejects PWS.

    I've got access to a Win2000 server at work (with IIS 5 - t'is sweet! )

You could also try Chili!Soft ASP...with Apache for Windows...might work...

Alternatively use PHP or Perl with Apache
PHP is supposed to be similar to ASP (so my WebMaster tells me)...can't say I've ever tried it tho.

Windows ME hasn't yet been released although you may be running a beta copy. But Windows ME was designed to be a desktop operating system, not something that you would run a web server on. Windows 2000 is the best platform for running ASP on, with IIS 5 being a much improved product.

As for PHP, it will run well on the highly used Linux OS. PHP has several similarities to ASP, but as it was designed to run on a Unix not Windows platform I think that it's unfair to compare them. Now you could compare PHP and Perl, but I don't want to start that one off now...

Yeah...we agree... Windows ME and Web Servers are not really meant to go together...

    Now Windows 2000 Server...mmm...nice!
