    Hi Guys, Can anyone help please ???

    I have a VB app which I install on various machines. On most machines it runs fine, but on some machines, I get the error message:

    3706
    ADO could not find the specified provider.

    Does anyone know what the problem is ???

    what provider/database are you using, and what version of the MDAC are you distributing?

    I'm accessing an MS-Access Database, not sure about the version of MDAC.

    what version of MS Access DB?

    what VB Service Pack do you have installed? That will tell us the MDAC version....

    I'm using Access 97, Not sure which service pack.

    First install DCOM98 on PC then install MDAC.

    Datsun 120Y great car but a total death trap

    Download MDAC 2.0, install it on your clients
