another fight for Microsoft
Some people have told me they don't think a fat penguin really embodies the grace of Linux, which just tells me they have never seen a angry penguin charging at them in excess of 100mph. They'd be a lot more careful about what they say if they had.

yeah, just read that. what baffles me is that both netscape and IE are free, so how are they infringing on their market.

AOL buys the dying Netscape so they can sue MS over it...
People would have used Netscape if it weren't so ****ty. Oh no CiberThug is going to defend Netscape, that's TWO debates I'm carrying on...one for my country...another for a browser...

yes but netscape wasn't free at the time that MS unfairly "integrated" IE into Windows, so AOL are seeking commercial compensation for lost revenue; and under current law I believe they will receive 3 times the amount they are rewarded - which could be a big bill for MS.

i don't see the problem with MS including their own software with their own OS. i mean, if AOL can sue, where does it end? if MS made some really popular IRC proggie, and included it in their OS, should the guy who made mIRC be allowed to sue?
AOL are just pissed that they bought such a crap browser.

I dont see a problem with MS includeing stuff in their OS at all, hell you dont see Dodge sueing Chevy because Chevy puts Chevy radios in their vehicles...
If AOL is so upset about it, then why doesnt AOL come out with its own OS and put its netscape browser in it ... oh wait I remember now AOL was thinking of buying RedHat linux just a couple of weeks ago werent they...
