We had the classic one years ago when Channel 7 were over in Spain 'hunting' for Christopher Skase (wanted for massive fraud, embezzlement etc) Anyhow, they televised this story of intrigue where Christopher Skase was in cahoots with the Majorcan police and had them out hunting down this news crew. The crew claimed to have sneaked out of Majorca in the dead of night and used a private plane to escape to the mainland.

Mediawatch (used to be excellent with Stuart Littlemore) got wind of this story and played bits of it. One scene has the news crew ducking in their cars as they passed some of these multitudes of police out hunting for them. Turns out tho that the police were 'traffic police' and that they were erecting barriers for an event (i forget exactly, eg soccer game, show etc) in BARCELONA!!!

Trust everything that you see and read ps couldnt she have equalised the pressure with a few deft injections of gas
