Steal codes...haha hardly...I dont really need to, I can just come here and get advice on stuff I need here :-)...
Actually, I am gonna use it for two reasons...(even though I am not obligated to tell you, I will) one, I will test my own programs security, and make sure that I can give the correct protection for it, AND I am wanting to alter this program for my need, to make it easier to use...
I can say all I want about what I am going to do with it, but most will probably think I will go and "steal code"...
If you knew anything about the subject you would realise that they wern't created only for the purpose to "steal code" and that people who do that shouldn't even be programming...cause there would be no point..

If you have Visual Basic Pro or Enterprise, and you compile a project to an exe into Native Code, then the program is compiled into machine language. To decompile this you need an Assembly Decompiler/Debugger program such as SoftIce. Also, to understand this, you need to have advanced assembly code knowledge. Assembly is probably the hardest languages to learn, but hackers are eager, so they learn it and they hack these programs.
Currently, there are no P-Code decompilers for VB versions 5+. The last VB decompiler ever made was for VB4, and the company that made it isn't in business anymore. I don't know of any other VB decompilers.
I think it is impossible to make an unhackable program. For example, 3D Studio Max (which sells for $3,000), requires a special "dongle" which you connect to your serial port in order for the program to run. Also, the program requires that you enter a CDKey, Authorization Code, and Serial Number in the installation screen. That is mega protection. But, the hackers have hacked it, and it goes around the net for free.
If you make a really good program, then people will buy it. Yes, there will be illegal distribution of it on the internet, but many people that like the program will buy it.

There was a link here to a VB Decompiler. It was edited out by John, but if you really want, you can E-mail the guy and ask him what the link was.
