    Question

    Anyone know where I can get a viewer for a VRML file? Its file extension is *.wrl

    I'd guess you should atleast try Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator.

    One more question on it...

    Anyone know where a good editor/authoring tool for it is?
    I have a basic one and would like one that's better.

    Try RenderSoft. It isn't the best out there, but it can make some simple Worlds and Animations.

    3d studio exports vrml, though, I don't have a player, so i can't test it.

    Yes, but not everyone can afford 3D Studio. Here is the webiste for RenderSoft http://home.pacific.net.sg/~jupboo.
    Again, it isn't the best out there, but it's great until you can find a better one.

    If you use the web to its full potential, you don't have to afford it. And 3ds viz is only about US$150 if you're a student.
