Php Ide
Is there one?
Because I like the funky colours that vBulletin uses for PHP tags but I can't seem to find an editor that reliably colours things
PHP Code:
<?php
print "I need lots of colours!";
?>

Isn't the color coding these forums uses built into PHP itself? IE- it's done by a PHP function call.
Anyway, Macromedia Homesite and ActiveState Komodo do color coding and are somewhat customizable (unless you're not running on Windows).

Get these: Mozilla Opera OpenBSD
I have books for sale: "MCSD in a Nutshell" and "VB Distributed Exam Cram" - PM me for details. Will also trade for a decent ATX Pentium 2 MB/CPU/RAM combo.

yeah there is a PHP colouring function but it's of little use when writing scrips.
Thanks for the names, i'll check them out.

You're missing out! Go grab EditPlus (cheap shareware). It has syntax colouring for PHP plus many others. It let's you adjust the tints (which is good because the default colours are kind of ugly) and it's fairly easy to use as well.

http://www.textpad.com is my favourite, you can download plugins for syntax highlighting, for loads of languages.
It also has clip libraries with snippets of code in, and you can even compile and run java from within it !!
Thats my Recommended text editor..lol i should be on commision!

The demo(full version) never runs out just politly asks you to buy a license for it. So unless your going to use it at work then there's no need to worry about the license!
