Prevent flooding! Rolph was able to cause my browser to crash by creating a thread in the Chit Chat forum called "do Not click this topic!!!" and filing it with text. I've tried downloading it and the page alone came up with 2 megabytes.

Maybe if we had a limit on posts - say 50k? That should be enough for a long answer. Either that, or have something like: "This is a long post. Click _here_ to view". This way you can bypass massive things.

That wouldn't work, I right-clicked on the link and downloaded it. Then when I tried to open it from my computer it still froze me. I say there should be a limit or break it up into smaller pieces.

You have a good point. If they were split up, it would ease the burden on the browser, which should be able to handle a page of > 3mb easily. Though IE5 crashes with pages >6mb. Anyone know Netscape 6's limits?
