    Try playing Half-Life. I believe it was one of the best games in 1999. Same with Microsoft Flight Sim.

    Some old 2D games are the best. Dr. Riptide is pretty good. And some tennis game that I can't remember the title.

    Talking Now we be gettin der

    As people begin to flock in to my lovely discussion (I'm soo proud of myself) I would just like to add a little comment myself! If any one out there is at all interested would you please be kind enough to send me your opinions on the Quake III Vs Unreal Tournament debate, I don't know how big it is in the States but here in England I have spent many an hour amusing myself by listening to an argument on the subject. I personally have only played Quake III but am aching to see Unreal Tournament!

    These are the greatest games I ever played:

    * Civilisation (all of them)
    * Ground Control
    * HalfLife
    * Quake2
    * Systemshock

    Dungeon Keeper is one of the best games I think

    Also I'd recommend some Final Fantasy even it's with PlayStation resolution

    ...and don't forget all those great NINTENDO games such as Secret of Mana , SoM2 (Saiken Densetsu 3), ShadowRun , Zelda and so on... I really like them

    [I love emulators!]

    Cool Final Fantasy

    I have to agree with Fox, Final Fantasy is an amazing game. It has amazing graphics and storyline. So if you want a good game get Final Fantasy VIII or prehaps wait for FF IX, go Enjoy.

    Some people have told me they don't think a fat penguin really embodies the grace of Linux, which just tells me they have never seen a angry penguin charging at them in excess of 100mph. They'd be a lot more careful about what they say if they had.

    Even though this is a quite cheesy game, I also like playing Mario Kart 64 and Need For Speed 3 and all of the Mortal Kombat series.

    Mortal Kombat was great until part 4. The graphics and gameply are good, but the story line has faded away greatly. It does not match up with the rest of the series.

    Need For Speed is great because I love racing games and I am into different kinds of Sports Cars. In addition to that, you can download cars and tracks off the internet to keep updated.

    Mario Kart is an addictive game. Despite the fact that there are not many courses and drivers, and it is too easy, it is still fun trying to beat your own times and setting records.

    Hey, if you want an RPG with great playability i sugest yuo look at Diablo. Though it is an old game I think it is great!!! It randomly creates every level and there are various quest that you need to complete.

    ------------------------------------------------------------

    Voting wise I would give my vote to Fox. I know I'm not a real big regular of this forum it is usually Fox that comes up with a good answer. Thanks Fox, and thanks to all those other people who have helped me along my way.

    The best games are the ones everybody seems to have forgotten. What about solitare or tetris?

    But seriously, starcraft was pretty damn good. And Diablo I (i haven't played d2 yet)
