Calling all gamers...
Hi,
I'm currently developing this interesting project called Cheat-O-Mania. It's a program with cheat codes for over 3000 games. I'm making version 6.0 right now. Version 5.0 was a really popular program (200,000 downloads on Lockergnome alone). And version 6.0 will take it to the next level.
But wait, the interesting part comes about the accompanying website: www.cheat-o-mania.com. It will be a gaming community with forums, chat, newsletters, etc. This is a really cool opportunity for growth and in the future we can even sell ad space on the website, whose profits will go to everyone on the team, of course
I already have a graphic designer and some forum moderators. Right now I'm looking for VB programmers, web designers, etc. So if you can help out in any way, just reply to this post and I'll make you a member of the team If you join the team I'll make you a forum moderator and I'll give you an @cheat-o-mania.com e-mail address! So please reply if you're interested!
Regards,
Mel.
P.S. If you wanna download Cheat-O-Mania 5.0, click on this link:

That's some cool stuff you made there! I actually have a small idea about the kind of design I want for the website. Have a look at this template: http://www.cheat-o-mania.com/template/
What do you think about it? It's pretty crude right now, but we can try to spice it up with a little graphics and stuff. I want the website to be almost like a portal with links like forums, chat, download, mailing list, search, update cheat codes, etc. That's why that design looks kinda cool for that.
So tell me what you think about that. If you have some of your own ideas then lemme know!
Regards,
Mel.

Thats cool...
I really like that design...
We could implement some things from my design on to yours...
(i.e. the links have no underline until the mouse is over them,
and maybe next to the news thing we can put a picture of that
newspaper from mine on to yours...)
just a thought
-Andrew
P.S. Im glad you liked my design...
P.P.S The only thing I would change on the site is the Flash... It looks alright and everything, but it takes forever to load when you connect at 31200bps... (DAMN AOL)
And I havent downloaded the program yet... I will as soon as the Flash downloads lol...

Hi Piyush,
I'm from India too! You can join too but there isn't much left to do in the program, it's almost finished. It's mostly just web development that's left. But if you have any ideas about what else to put in the program then please tell me! Thanks,
Mel.

Sorry if I'm wrong.. didn't try the program.. however.
What about network updating? Does it get or find new codes in realtime by connecting to the web, is there only a local database you have to update manually or a mix of both? If not this would be a great improvement!

I know about the 'flashiness' about the program all right I've gotten a lot of mixed opinions about that, lol! But I've removed a lot of in the new version 6.0. I've uploaded a 'beta' like version. You can download it at:
http://www.cheat-o-mania.com/com6beta.zip (818K)
All the features aren't completed but you can get a general idea of the program.

I'm thinking of implementing a web-based update system. I will make a weekly digest of new cheat codes found by me and contributed by the users. and post a link on my website. Then when users click on the link to download it, the new cheat codes will be downloaded and the database will be updated!

Yeah, in face I don't even play single player Quake since multiplayer rocks! But I haven't played that for some time for obvious reasons (Cheat-O-Mania )
By the way, flame why don't you come on my forums to talk? I have a discussion going on with some other people too. It's at:
http://forums.cheat-o-mania.com/cgi-...num=1009825227
Just register some name and post away! Thanks, reply soon,
Mel.
