I am trying to create a vb program that acts as a folder in order to password protect it. I know this can be done. Perhaps windows could be tricked into seeing a resource file as a folder. this would be primarily for use on a windows 98 machine. one thing i don't want to have to do is place the files out of the resource file into a temporary directory on the hard drive.

can anyone help or point me in the right direction?
