What BB is that? I am trying to find a good one, I've gone through like 5 different free ones. I want vBulletin, but it's to expensive for me...

Thanks. I tried that one, and it wouldn't work on my server for some reason. Stupid SQL errors. Oh well, I guess I can deal with the ones I am using right now.

did you edit the "_data.inc.php" file first ???

it has the following default configuration.

Change the localhost to the machine name if you run mysql in some other machine...

Don't use the mysql root account. Create a new user such as wbb
and a new database such as 'wbbdb'. Make sure you grant all rights on wbbdb to wbb.

then finally run the install.php

Yeah I know... I've set up like 6 other forums that use mySQL in the past week. I set it up right, it created the tables without a problem, then I deleted the install.php, like it said, and tried to log into the admin section. Kept giving a whole bunch of errors like header already sent by functions.php on line xxx. I'm going to try it again, and see if it does the same thing.....

Dear Mr.Disheartened,

Don't call it violence. Remember the squabble with your 5 year old neighbour on which cartoon show to watch. Would you call that violence ? ...or the fight that erupted when you stole his cookies when he went to take a piss and you got a nasty blow on your nose. I can recommend you to OBL and u can join the taliban for a change.
