    Question

    Hi!

Anyone know of any free decompilers for vb5? I have lost my vb5 source code and want to decompile my exe back to source code so i can "covert" the source code to vb6. Is this possible?

The exe is rather big, 3.5 megs....

I don't think there are any decompilers for VB5 and VB6.

    no programs to do that..

There aren't any programs to dcompile to get the original source code...it's almost impossible to do with a program

There is maybe one for VB 3 but if you want yo decompile VB5 or maybe VB6, there are some companies that do it for you, it's not an easy task and it can be very costly.

    there is kind of

there is an online one, that does it for vb5, but you need a username and password for it to work properly, the demo only gets the forms out of the projects with the controls on them but no code, and it will only work for an exe smaller than 50kb, or at a certain time 1 meg (it says the time on the sight), but I lost the url to this site when I reformatted, anyway its useless with out a username and password you can't get your code back basically just the programs layout.

as far as I know there is no decompiler for vb6 though, but some people do do it manually, and it supposedly very time consuming.
