Sorry Arien, but I agree, give the guy a break. What does it matter if he waffles crap in here? Thats what a community is about.
Daok - watch you're not stepping on peoples toes and everything will be fine. Filburts got himself a reputation as a whiner anyway. I don't have a problem with him at all, but I hate to see people rub each other up the wrong way.

You wanna piece of me too you hairy bastard? BRING IT ON!!!!!
*ahem* sorry. Please don't hurt me......
I've just tired of 2/3 of Flibburts threads being created solely to snipe at Daok. It's tedious.
Ok, maybe Daok posts complete shiite at times, and even I've pointed out that his posts are bollocks, but it's no reason to embark on a hate campaign.
Despite Flibburts sniping, Daok has been more use to us than him so it irks me somewhat.
Maybe Flibburt should pick on someone his own size.
Like me.

True, Doak has been more use generally, although filburt was prepared to help me when I had a disk problem. Basically they're as bad as each other at spamming crap, but filburt does seem to be bitching at the younger / smaller members of the forum recently - theres a snidey remark about prog_tom in one of the forum feedback thread (yes I know prog_tom didn't get of to a great start, but someones gotta give him a chance).

Just watch what you're posting Arien, you'll alienate people if you're not careful. It isn't like school in here.

Turtle all was ok but since I achieve over 3000 posts you changed the way to answer me and all. If you have soemthing to tell me, tell me in the PM but you do not have to yell in the ChitChat forum ? What you want to prove ? Sorry but I can show you some of your post when you were around 3800 posts, you answered most of thread... and you can not tell then all was very usefull.
I never said something when you do it, but what I do not understand is I am not spamming ? I helped the guys... like Behemoth it's not school, it's called Internet man. Well, instead of yelling in the ChitChat forum just use your brain and PM me ( and all other person who you think who can spam ). Personally, I know than you are 100% better than me in any language and I like when you help me, but I can not accept someone who think who will try to rule me when I did nothing.
Happy Christmas to all ( turtle included ).

Re: I would like to point out some irony
I really don't think that's Irony. That's the 'Alanis MOrisset' version of irony. This is just simple hypocrism (which is probably not even a word) and contradiction. You're really hurting your quest for mod status with this sort of thing.

Who cares? Rivalry is good. It promotes competition, which encourages success. The problem with spamming is having useless crap in a sensible thread, and it decays the quality of the 'services' provided here. Who cares who has the most posts? Plus, it gives a simple guide on who has good advice to give.
Let 'em argue.

i'd just like to point out that filburt never actually said anything that hateful. all he said was that it was ironic that doak still posted a yes/no answer right after he was asked to not post those answers.
i'd also like to point out that doak was simply answering the question asked in the threads and he did post the answers later.
what im tryin to say is who really gives a f*** it's christmas for cripe's sake

Seems to fit the definition for me:
The use of words to express something different from and often opposite to their literal meaning.
An expression or utterance marked by a deliberate contrast between apparent and intended meaning.
A literary style employing such contrasts for humorous or rhetorical effect. See Synonyms at wit1.
Incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs: “Hyde noted the irony of Ireland's copying the nation she most hated” (Richard Kain).
An occurrence, result, or circumstance notable for such incongruity. See Usage Note at ironic.

That looks like an American definition.
Irony (proper irony) is somewhat different, but I don't have an exact definition.
I refuse to tie my hands behind my back and hear somebody say "Bend Over, Boy, Because You Have It Coming To You".

That's hypocrisy
Irony is something like this:
You break a date with your girlfriend so you can go to the ball game with the guys. When you go to the concession stand, you run into your date who is with another guy

Please explain how you feel that this definition of irony (a correct one) fits the situation you raised. I don't think you can.

Quick irony check...
I was out jogging tonight, and I saw a sign that read 'Vandalism - $300 Fine'. The sign had been destroyed and knocked to the ground.
Is that ironic? It was, at the very least, pretty damn funny since I read this thread just before I went out.
Laugh, and the world laughs with you. Cry, and you just water down your vodka.

That's closer to the normal definition of irony
