    anyone know how to get information from halflife dedicated server with winsock?

    hy, .hmm i think half-life was made with a c++ code or?

    Though the SDK does provide the source code for the 'game', the network code is part of the engine if I'm not mistaken. So sifting through the code will do you no good. Besides there are documents included with the HL SDK that describe how to communicate with the server. So even if the code was there, its kind of pointless to have to look at the code itself.

    I wrote a program to communicate with HL servers myself...

    Counter-Strike Rcon
    Its name implies that it is only for Counter-Strike but it will work with all Half-Life servers.

    go to download and download the newest beta. You don't need to full install if you have vb6 sp5 installed
