I cant make the b & w masks! I have no problem using them to make sprites/animations, but how do i get the actual color bitmap into the mask form? HELP!

Everything that will be transparent is black on the mask. Everything else is black. The background of the actual colour bitmap is black or white.
If you have a white background, copy the mask with vbMergePaint and the sprite with vbSrcAnd. If you have a black background, copy the mask with vbSrcAnd, and the sprite with vbSrcPaint.

Look at my first sentence there...
You change everything that should be see through on the final pic WHITE not black as I previously mentioned. Turn everything else black. There is your mask!
