Good Ol' Platypus
When it finished loading the map, it just sent me back to the desktop. No errors in the log file either.
All contents of the above post that aren't somebody elses are mine, not the property of some media corporation.
(Just a heads-up)

It was actually coded in DB (Dark Basic: www.darkbasic.com) Its a 3d Game engine in Basic language.
Very odd that it isn't working.. you dont have to have the compilier to run the executables..
Well, its pretty cool lol

This is cool... I log into my site statistics and find out that people have been playing my game(s)
The runtime error after the level loading is a DarkBasic error. The mipmapping of objects is a bit dodgy and not supported by all graphics cards (I bet the person with an error has a geforce 2)
Anyway i hope to have a new demo sometime in the new year that has a new track and the start of a powerups system in it. It will also have an optional mipmapping whatsit in there so that hopefully everyone will be able to play the game.
If anyone wants more information or to be told of updates to the game then email me ([email protected]) and I will add you to my very small email update list

the textures are screwed aren't they... never seen that before.
As for sound... none in this demo... although hopefully there will be some in the next one.
Thanks for the feedback (although don't know what I will do about it )

windows XP is probably the problem. I am still using win 98 so have no way of testing it on anything newer (actually my brother has win ME and it works there)

steve - I really haven't got a clue what is wrong with your copy.
Dark Basic is very buggy so it is probably just a problem there. They are currently working on a new version that looks an awful lot better (DBPro - www.darkbasicpro.com) So the next demo will probably be compiled with a beta of this. Hopefully then it will work on more machines.
