    USB under SBS4.5 w/SP6 ?

Just wondering does SBS 4.5 (ie. NTServer 4.0) support USB ?

Nope . . . 'cos it's still NT4 - there may be some third party bodges that allow limited USB, but from what I remember they're pretty flaky . . .

Hmmm I wouldnt risk sticking anything funny onto my server.
Actually I could get one of those USB <> Parallel or USB <> IDE connector jobbies... I think 'belkin' make 'em

    S'not really a hardware issue - more OS based . . . it has no provision for USB as a hardware type/interface thingy . . .

Yeah I know that. Thats why I'd have to use IDE or the Parallel port instead

Yeah . . . but if you mean turn USB into Parallel then that wouldn't work either 'cos the OS doesn't recognise the USB interface and so doesn't install any form of USB support - which you'd still require for the USBtoParallel to work . . .

Oh I thought those belkin jobbies converted the interface and everything into parallel or whatever. hum. willing suspension of disbelief is over
