Ok, for those of you who have been following my posts, I have been diligently teaching myself this visual basic for the purpose of creating an interactive resume. Well, guess what, I have finally completed it and I CANNOT COMPILE IT. It seems that with this Control Creation Edition, it does not allow you to compile. The book says that it will compile simple programs, so I left out the imported word resume with the print and view buttons, and the button to bring up a self addressed e-mail. I left it with simply control buttons referencing different forms, and really only used the [Form1.Show and Form2.Hide] commands thruout my program. It was my intent to create a resume that might actually get read. You know do something different than the crowd. NOW I CAN'T EVEN COMPILE IT !!! Gosh what an idiot I have been for spending the last 3 days (24/7) trying to get this finished.
I guess I am doomed to send the (never gets read) resume as I have been...............
Sorry for making this so long, but I know that a lot of newbies like me come in here, and I just want you guys to be aware, if you have this version, it is only good for learning, you can't do anything with it.

I'll give it a go if you like. Send it me and I'll see what happens when I try to compile it.

Hey Flyer
I am not sure how to zip the project, but I did send all of the individual files to you.
Hope that is ok.

you can go to http://www.winzip.com and download winzip. This will let you put you files into one .zip file and it will be compressed to take up less space.

Bear with me on this....OK
I already have winzip, but it seems that I would be doing a zip file for each form. that seems like a waste, since they are all pretty small anyway. Is there a way to zip the entire project..If yes, please explain to this newbie...........Thanks,

wow, you are DUMB!
hehe just kidding.
select all of the files, and right click on them, and choose "add to zip"
it should come up asking about compression... and the file name.. etc.
it is really simple.

OK guys,
got the files all zipped, into one project,,,imagine that. anyway, I have e-mailed them to you. No changes needed as in earlier request. If you can just compile them, that would be great. I hope I haven't forgotten anything...e-mail me if you have any questions....
Thanks,

PS - disregard the stuff that I sent that was not zipped....I had to make a few changes.........

Nice program idea
Hey, I'm a graphics designer, programmer and webdeveloper. If you guys need to have graphics on the program, I'm the one to go to. Also, if your in need of a good website, I could design that for you also, no charge because I want to do this for fun. I have my own business that deals with web development and graphic design (www.firstcreations.com), even though my business is just starting out, you can check out all of done (web.cari.net/~jroake, firstcreations.com, sd.znet.com/~jpittman). Please email me if you would like to talk to me or have me do something for the project.
