Aknisely unban?

Filburt1 is correct. Marty had warned aknisely many times, but he refused to comply.

Also, Behemoth, your idea about a probationary status sounds legit, and I guess it's something we could consider in the future.

Here is my Idea... a banned person can still use the forums..but like someone sent to a jail.

Examples:

1. The person can only post 3 posts a day.
2. Cannot have access to attachments.
3. Prevented from replying to a post within 1 hour after clicking the reply button.
4. Cannot use smilies or avatars.
5. Every fourth word is censored. {Every fourth word ** censored}

The problem with making a list of "rules" for a certian users, is that it'll all become too complex later on.

Things have calmed down since he got banned but the same would have happened had Kovan been banned and Adam stayed. It just removed one half of the main argument.

I didn't have that much sympathy for him when he was banned, although I didn't really see that the reason he was banned was a good one.

In short: I don't think he was that bad, but I'm not expecting any changes.

That is true. so true. but couldn't he just come back under another user name or is his IP address logged somewhere disabling him from gaining access to VB World?

He can come back pretty much whenever he wants but if he started posting much and it came to the notice of the powers that be, he'd get banned again. He can pretty much do that as much as he wants, but why bother?

Oh, if he had a static IP he could get properly banned from that computer at least, but it's not very likely that he does.

I've seen at least one post by him since he got banned.

John is reasonable, and If Aknisely really wanted to come back, He would discuss it with John or a Mod. Whatever the outcome of that discussion would be, would be based upon a couple of things; Johns/Mods demands and requests of Aknisely, Aknisely's attitude toward said requests, and What Kind of Mood the Mod is in.

I'm sure nobody likes to be pressured into doing something by a group of people, And its seemed lately that John isn't particularly in love with the quality of FF lately, { } so I tend to suspect this thread just might actually work Against Aknisely, ironically.
