Can anybody change this menu style for me?

I want a vertical sidbar menu (like the one on www.bratta.com) unlike horzontal one (like the one on www.microsoft.com). I found some source code for a simple menu but can you please change it so it allows me to create those vertical sidebar menubars?

If had a menu bar on my site. That isn't that easy to edit but it is possible to slide to the side.
I will attach it. There is a bit of comment with it so that will help you. But still it's much code that you have to understand.
