VB .Net
I just got through reading the VBnet tutorials on this site. All i can is WOW!
My Head is still spinning from trying to soak it all in. It's really cool that you can use C++ and all that in the same interface as VB Apps. AS well as create full WEb Pages.
I can't wait for it. I can't download the Beta right now cause i have programs that i can't risk screwing up. But i am diening to see it!
Go Microsoft!

Boo VB.NET: easy decompiling and, worse, massive runtimes
The language itself though is definitely an improvement.

component update?
Well, since were on that topic, I read the same article that Arc refers to and also downloaded Beta 2, but when I try to install it, it says that I still need the Windows Component Update. I thought that this was supposed to come with the download but I can't find it on the CDs. I also haven't been able to locate it anywhere on the net, but I have come across a couple other forums where users expressed the same concerns.
Has anybody gotten VB.net to work? If so, did you install this "Windows Component Update", and again, if so, where did you get it? Or is it really somewhere in the download but hidden or something?
