    ..someone must know this...under folder options in Win/Explorer there is a propery

    Allow All Upper Case Names

    how do I access this propery from VB code
    ie..turn in on..turn it off

    would like to set it for 1 particular folder

    Which version of Windows are you using? It must be 98 or higher, 'cos I'm using Win95 and I can't find the option you're referring to. So you're immediately going to have backward compatibility problems I think...
