Viruses and VBWorld
I've been sending and receiving email via the internet for about 8 years. Up until about 6 weeks ago I had never been emailed a virus before. I now get about two a week or so. It seems I started getting them shortly after I became a regular contributor to VBWorld.Com. Is there a connection? Has anyone else experienced something like this after they started using this form, or have I been added to some "Virus of the week list"?
These people that send them must think I'm an idiot. I mean, who opens an attachment from someone they don't know, or at least scans it first? Not to mention, with Norton Auto-Protect enabled the viruses are detected as soon as they are Base64 decrypted.

Is it related? I'm not sure.
I got one the other day and it was sent to the address in my signature ie: mark.vbw...etc
this is the ONLY place this address is displayed I've never given that address anywhere else EVER
I use a different email address in my VB World profile

No virus has infected my machine since the dawn of time....

Me neither.
Kovan - why does it crash? AVG is absolutely fine on mine and has caught everything so far.

OK, fine, but have you ever been sent one.
I'm not much of a web surfer and I don't hand out my email address to a lot of people. Aside from the reply notices I get from VBWorld 90% of my email comes from people I do business with. Most of the other sites I contribute to don't have user profiles like this site. Of the 4 email addresses I have all of the viruses have been sent to the email address I use here. Maybe there is no connection between the flood of viruses I've been getting and my time on this site, but the time I've spent here is really the only thing that has changed in my web usage recently.

Hey guys, if you're not sure about an attachment, what if you opened it in a VMware session? Its completely contained, right?
You just proved that sig advertisements work.

I just open stuff on another computer that I don't care about. What's a VMware session? Sounds interesting.
