Thumbs up Currently working on export to Excel

Got given a project to transfer Universe data to an Excel spreadsheet with full formating of columnds, totaling of numeric amounts etc etc etc. Got everything working except for inserting MACROS in cells. Pain in the ass.

This is a company project so caren't call in outside help...bummer.

Have a look at one of the new forums, remember some guy wanting to put together a project team in their. Was the forum with only a couple of threads.

SO? What are you good at? I'm not currently working on a game, but i will soon, and then i need new guys to do code snippets again. And of course tons of artists. Hmmm, my current project is the Lyrics Displayer for winamp, and i haven't still got into doing that scrolling part, so you may get some credits for doing that.

    Bored?

If you are really bored you could go to my site and download my Birthday program and see if it installs and works or it just blows your system out!

If you are bored and brave..let me know it tests ok.

I'm talking from my other computer cause HeSaidJoe's program blew up my computer..

anyways, uhh kedaman, I'm good at directx, well supposedly good at it anyways, I'm like learning and learning and still learning (u can never stop learning), I'm currently trying to understand and learn Direct3D, I don't know EVERYTHING about directx, but I know enough... and the database stuff, man they give me headaches just for using them.. I dont' think your company would wanna hire me lol...

I didn't want to join the other groups, cause I don't have a sample of what I've done, since everything I do I delete and don't keep... and then they said, don't just say you're a good programmer, I don't know how good I am cause I haven't competed against anyone yet...

    Hey,

Im working on a Game called Island.
Your on a 3d generated Island and
your trying to take down the other
kingdoms . The fights are a neat
card game that takes less then
30 seconds.. If you get pissed at
a kingdom you can go into real
fight mode, a automated RPG style
    fight..

    Would you be interested..

The game is currently 11 megs,
Over 350 images stored in one
    res file.

    Cool

I'm also learning DirectX, btw, so it sounds great you're doing the same thing, and also, i don't know a **** about databases, so we could just get started if you want! I'm not sure what type of game you would like to do, but i would prefer strategy or rpg, i'm not sure abotu 3d-games, it's too much work with design and art.

understood kedaman, it is too much work with modeling and stuff, but if we get a modeler, it'll be easier to make an rpg in 3d cause all you do is make a world, and then put the camera whatever way you want, that way you can make it isometrix, birds eye or whatever else or better yet you can let the user choose and let them zoom in or out... but that's just an opinion (think about alpha blending and other things), it's too complicated, so I think we should get more people together and try to learn and teach each other what we learned... In my opinion the first thing for making a game is to make an engine for the game, so you know you're not making the story and all the plans just to find out that when u make the engine certain things can't happen... so we could start on an engine but I gotta like go revise directdraw a bit cause it's been a while since I"ve used it... we should try to get more people interested..

I havent' tried Direct3d at all, but i have done some cool stuff with a directdraw ocx, there's only one thing, i can't load the bitmaps from dc, only files. So i'm currently studying fox work and trying to make it load ie gif's to pictures and then into the ddraw object... the problem is that it crashes too often

    Wink Creating a new game.

I'm creating a new game engine, it's a top-down, birds-eye view game. It's going to be a shooter that basically shows off the engine. It's strictly 2-d and it will sadly not have multiplayer. That is unless I could find someone with a version of vb4 that could help. If you can help with either the programming or graphics just post in here.

The game's graphics will all be made in MS-Paint so I can focus on gameplay instead of graphics. All though I am planning on making over 1000 graphic tiles.

If you can do mplayer and have vb4.0, I'd prefer doing tcp/ip as opposed to modem2modem or ipx, but I'll take what I can get!

    Cool Cool New Game!

I am currently making an adventure/RPG for VB6 Enterprise. It will have multiplayer, good graphics, and high-quality sound.

Unfortunately, I know nothing about DirectDraw and can only use BitBLt. Is anybody interested? I've started in BitBLt but I only have a start so converting to DirectDraw/Sound/Input would be easy. It also has joystick support.

Once again, anybody interested? If they are, drop me a line at [email protected]
